The wine making intent is to focus on the distinctive passion fruit and citrus flavours that make New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc an iconic wine style. The vineyard's different terraces each impart their own distinctive character. The structure of the wine reflects the soil type; the heavier soils provide body and structure, the lighter soils add fresh aromatics and a hint of mineral character. This wine represents the best expression of fruit driven flavours from 2022 which was one of the best ever vintages in Waipara. Again, like all of the Torlesse wines, this outstanding example punches ridiculously above its weight.
